The Calm

I recall destruction
lathered on the palms of your hands.
Your moist eyes storm-surged
with a boisterous calm,
So serenely violent and eager to inform me
that my tempest choice of words
Would drill holes in the bottom of my boat,
That I would drown in a catastrophic eternity.
