The Care-Taker

By

The sun is waking up
Leaving behind a pink shade.
Its orange smile
Above the cloud's belly.

The variants of yellow,
The residue that sits below.
Take me back to you.

A early mourning
Over the mushy pillows.
A place you still reach my head,
But like hail before the sun.
All things frozen will be undone.
