The Cat I Love

The Siamese cat I love is from the past
All of my life I cherished her
Until she passed away...
Then I loved her in heaven
I was about twenty.

She had eyes bluer than the sky
Like an angel she walked by
Capturing my soul,
As she gracefully grew old.

I called her Pokey
She was born in the mountains
And had a loud meow!
Her fur felt like flowers.

Nothing on earth can compare
To my baby's darling meow
And little face.

When storms blow
And winds reaches high
Levels
When sun fades low
Under a mountain,
My beautiful cat's memory glows
As thunder carries over-
Gently
In heaven.
