The Cause of No Action

Taking no action can leave you frozen.
You'll be stuck in the moment, thinking about the decision unchosen.
Constantly questioning what you should or should have done.
You saw it coming and waited till it begun.
The charm that he had, too good to be true.
Not to mention the drinking, and what he had tried to do to you.
Your best friends boyfriend, though she had a husband.
Left him last week after she came to you after being bludgeoned.
It only makes sense that to another man's arms she'd run in,
Especially to a man that treated her with lovin.
Behind their closed doors he was a perfect man,
But behind his closed doors he was a demon in demand,
Built up anger, a spoiled grown child he was.
Used to getting his way without any ifs, ands, or buts.
He wanted sex that night, and she had come from work,
So tired her body felt like that of a half dead bird.
She said no once just so she could fly into sleep.
He was on the bottle, been drinking full throttle,
And so with an aluminum bat he put her to sleep.
hearing about it still made you wonder if you were the one,
To get involved, so you stalled waiting till the end.
It was too late your actions of nothing left her dead.
A woman a mother, a wife, your best friend.
