The Chaos

I raised my voice, I didn't hear a sound.
I looked around me, I was surrounded by hounds.
I went for an exam, I had to sign a petition.
I was frightened deep within,
I saw my hostelers in frustration.
I started shedding tears,
seeing the story of her burnt face.
I am part of a democracy,
I was asked about my gender and my race.
I study in an educational institution,
they asked my terrorist organization.

I was messaging my cousin, the message wasn't sent.
I got a message instead,
the internet connection is dead.
I was sitting inside the house,
somebody knocked on my door.
I was asked an unusual question,
whether the house belongs to the four.
I went to worship the almighty,
they fought on whose God is mighty.
I was savouring my food, I am fasting unto death.
I was standing for the national anthem,
I am standing for a protest.
