The Circus

I came to see the circus,
but saw no one was there.
The tigers and the elephants
had left without a care.
And all because they couldn't see,
their hearts had all grown cold.
And nothing short of a miracle
would have to take a hold.
Because love is something given,
not taken for a fee.
Until we all can learn this,
true peace will never be.
