The Color You Left Behind
Blue reminds me of sadness
Lonely nights sitting in the dark had became more frequent
Bright white moonlight draws dark silhouettes that dance across the room
Figures form and remind me of times from the past
Like how our love was a vibrant red flame I thought would burn for eternity
Instead it withered into colorless ash blowing in the wind
A brutal winter took over my body and froze my heart and emotions
I wake up in the morning and go through the motions
Clear blue skies were covered by big grey cloud
I try to ignore the dark but like a voice it starts to get loud
Now I lay in bed again thinking about your favorite color
