The Composer

Do not tear your paper yet
The day is not done, there is light to be had.
Try a different note, a different key,
You will see. a tiny blot of ink,
And everything could change.

Do not sleep just yet
Your song is not complete, your crescendo is coming
Try some different sounds, a different melody,
You will see. The ringing in your ears
Will soon die.

Do not cry just yet
There is a time for that, but it is not now.
Try a different piece, a different place,
You will see. keep a smile on your face
Good things will come your way.

Do not take a bow just yet
The music hasn't stopped, the ivories still sing.
Turn past the pages you have played,
Feel the forte in your bones!
Play in the ensemble of this life.
