The conductor

The conductor

She is in the front.
The professionals surround her, study her.
All while the lights shine down on them.
Hundreds of people sit in front, waiting.
They have payed to be here, now they must wait.
There is a moment of silence and anticipation.
Her hand moves ever so slightly.
With the power to create and destroy.
Immediately the sound fills the air.
The synchronized hearts of the artists beat as one.
The hand moves a little faster.
The professionals know how to respond.
They act on their trophies.
Their golden trophies gleaming like the sun.
