The Course of Starlight

The stars collect
An adolescent dream
Then recollect
To unsheath a moonbeam
Stealing through the senses
In a spate supreme
Of rose-tinted lenses
In classic minted vanilla gleam.
The midnight froth rises
Like so much cream
Until the trajectory chastises
The modest extreme
And lassos in the populist theme
Converting lights into a pageant meme
