The Cry in the Storm

Out on the windy waves of life
Storms around cause much strife
Battered and torn by Satan’s shells
No one seems to hear your yells

Cries of help you cast in the night
No sight you see of a saving light
As in this storm your ship is tossed
All hope of rescue seems to be lost

Yet out into the darkness you begin to see
A ship that seems to be coming for thee
The Captain of the ship, He boldly stands
As he says, “All Hail,” may I take thee to land?

With a heart overflowed you fall on your knees
Oh, thank you dear Jesus for coming for me
Then with loving arms, he holds you tight
As he calms the waves of your stormy night.
