The Dance of Unlikely Friends

Winter fights to keep its grip
The ice begins to melt and flow
Winter resists spring's friendship
As the bitter cold and snow go

Love songs carry on the warming breeze
Excitement fills the heavens
New homes and life begin in the trees
Days grow longer and life awakens

Butterflies and bees fill their day
New buds open and colors bloom
New life is born and starts to play
Rains launch fields of perfume

As the innocence and purity of winter gasps its last breath
The new life of spring doesn't pause to mourn its death
