The Dark Forest

The dark forest,
where no one dare see,
the most beastly of creatures,
who hunch eerily,

it dressed in coarse scales,
with tremendous green eyes,
bearing tapered long nails,
revealed only in light,
still nothing passes,
craving a ravenous bite,

waiting and waiting for its next prey,
alone in the dark,
through night and day,

until one rabbit,
came hopping along,
the beast snarled and snatched it,
it devoured the it to the bone,

so if youre a creature so cuddly and small,
stay away from the forest and never be alone.
