The Day You Left

The scent of your blood still stains my skin,
I wish things could go back to the way they’ve been.
Before the wreck up on the bridge,
Before I went home and cried again.

The screams still taunt me when I sleep,
Just by thinking of how far we sinked.
In the water going down and down.
I never thought that you would drown.

I miss your smile upon your face,
I miss our hugs and everything.
The day you left will forever pain me,
But until then please don’t forget me.
