The Dead Rose

The rose starts to crumble it slowly dies
I look as if I had despair
The smile slowly turns into a frown
My eyes start to water
My heart is thumping
I am quivering as tears drop into the puddle
The puddle ripples
It feels as if my life was over that instant
I was frozen I couldn’t believe what happened
I couldn’t help but go down to the river
Cover the rose with dirt
Plucking petal by petal and throwing it in the water
My tears run down my face continuously and drop on the rose
My heart dropped when I threw the last petal in the river.
And my whole life changed
