The Death of My Love

In this dimension of time and space
Here I stand
On this solemn night, to grieve
As the church bells ring
I weep and weep
With quivering lips
Breaking down to nothing
For I lost my love and my saviour
A gallant knight in shining armour
Gloriously riding mighty high on a steed.

Tis my courage
Who is dead
For I couldn't speak up
Against the demons in the shadows
I couldn't speak up for the beautiful boy
Or the woman laying cold on the floor
Even the man ostracized on the pavements
If I had, I'd perhaps save innocent lives
However it's not that simple for life my way
Since all people see is colour.
