The demon inside of me
The demons don't sleep,
They are there when I speak,
They are with me when I weep.
These demons are always around.
They do not live under ground,
They live in me and they live in you
This demon called fear,
Controlling me like a puppeteer
This demon called anxiety,
Smothering all life out of me.
This demon called self-hate,
It's thoughts I can't escape
This God of love,
Will reach out his hand from above.
He will defeat the enemy
And wash away all fear in me.
He will defeat the enemy
And restore a calm identity.
He will defeat the enemy and
Raise up the beautiful inside of me.
This God of love.
Always whispers "You are good enough"
They are there when I speak,
They are with me when I weep.
These demons are always around.
They do not live under ground,
They live in me and they live in you
This demon called fear,
Controlling me like a puppeteer
This demon called anxiety,
Smothering all life out of me.
This demon called self-hate,
It's thoughts I can't escape
This God of love,
Will reach out his hand from above.
He will defeat the enemy
And wash away all fear in me.
He will defeat the enemy
And restore a calm identity.
He will defeat the enemy and
Raise up the beautiful inside of me.
This God of love.
Always whispers "You are good enough"
