The Depths of Exhaustion

The feeling of exhaustion come back to haunt me again-
Closing my so it can slither in
The darkness comes slowly then all at once
Pulling me deeper till' the voices have hushed
It swallows me whole-
Dragging me down, I'm trying to scream but I can't make a sound
My voice is muffled, I'm being drowned-
Slipping deeper and deeper all noises fade
The silence is unnerving and my heart starts race-
My demons are calling, scratching at my mind-
Oblivion seems comforting so I open my arms wide-
Letting the darkness cover me , I kiss consciousness goodbye.
