We were fights and long nights,
miscommunications and "I'm right"s.
We were friends on fake ends, just people who get by.
We were hopes and dreams and words unachievable.
We were merely the icing on the cake.
We looked SWeat but we were petty and we were fake.
We were friends on fake ends, just people who said hey.
We were weekends that turned sleepless.
Nobody could keep us.
We strayed far from Jesus,
but we never showed weakness.
we were friends on fake ends, just people who'd leave you speechless.
We were new, we were old,
we were stories to be told.
We were people opinionated,
we were made to be dated.
We were friends on fake ends, just people who now faded
I loved and gave, to be put to the grave.
I kept quiet so you could stand tall.
You can say I gave you nothing,
but I know I gave you all.
We weren't friends, we were people who couldn't make amends.
