The Doctor comes to investigate.
He must hurry, it cannot wait.
The cause of the illness was vague,
But it was without a doubt, the bubonic plague.
He wears a mask with a beak shaped nose.
It's stuffed with posies and planetarium
So the doctor doesn't catch this bacterium
He also wears a dark cloak. Head to toes.
The mask did the doctor little good.
Not even the smell of roses could.
The doctor will die, without being treated.
His will is defeated.
The doctor lies dead. Covered with bright, red cherries.
His body cold as stone.
There was no land to bury.
Into the flames, the doctor was thrown.
