The Eighteenth Sping

Springtime brings joy and pain,
when tears can fall like rain.
A time to have fun with friends,
knowing that the good times will end.

Final exams, studying hard every night,
hoping to get each answer right.
Research papers,deadlines to meet
wow, I'm really feeling the heat.

Prom, parties, outings at the lake,
these are memories I will not forsake.
Graduation day brings excitement and sorrow
a part of me wishes I could put it off until tomorrow.

Two more months will find me in a new home,
where this will take me is an unknown.
I know my future will be bright
by keeping my values and God in sight.
