The Eldest Seed

misplaced guilt depresses this young soul
inherited fear hinders fertile soil
water and sunlight power inevitable destruction
an eagle among pigeons
star among lightbulbs
desperately trying and secretly dying,
praying for a way out...or a reset button.
selfish enough to care
yet lonely enough to still search
happiness shattered,
true love is as real as last night's dream.
