The Engineer Soldier

They built the foundation
Placing the world upon their shoulders
From their blood, sweat and tears
They stand before you, the unbeaten soldier
Sacrificing the lives that they had
To stand for the freedom they desire
Always facing the heat, absorbing the burn
They stand within the midst of the flaming fires
Wearing the colors that bares their own allegiance
To the land they believe in and love
Devoted to the country that stands behind them
Never feeling that any task is too tough
They will build their walls sturdy and strong
To defend those for whom they have fought
They stood as equals with swords, rifles and tanks
Engineers by trade, guardian within their hearts
Constructing the building with strength and muscle
In heart and soul, they are one of a kind
They will continue to move forward and beyond
Building history one brick at a time
