The Fair

Autumn is known as a time to renew
Which was just what I needed, when I came across you
Your profile read like it was written by me
We where so much alike, it was hard to believe

October the fifth, a day I'll never forget
My life was renewed from the first time we met
I never knew a smile could jump from a text
In the puzzle of my life, I found a piece that connects

The day finally came, on a cool Thursday night,
Would it be our last date or love at first sight
The stage was set at an old county fair
There truly was magic, that night, in the air

The lights, the food, and the carnival sounds
The rides in the air and the games on the ground
The Ferris Wheel would be our first ride
I knew from that moment, I wanted you by my side

And from that first kiss, the fireworks ignited
The chemistry flowed and the passion still rises
That was the day that started it all
The fourth day of the week, at the fair, in the fall
