The Fall

The heart wandered over the mountain top
Searching for it's other half
It's purpose, its soul
As it reached to touch the sky
It fell, and shattered
At the highest peak of it's existence
The heart was broken, once again
So quick to fall
So quick to break
Even though the heart is hurt, and broken
There are pieces to mend
So once again the heart repairs itself, hoping for forgiveness
But as it climbs the mountain top
All it sees is a face
Hand over hand as it recongnizes
You
You were the face
And the fall
