The Fall

To war! Against all that we knew, for his lie
Morning Star, silver-tongue, forged words to bright
Blinded by promises drawn from the light
We Fell! Cast out from our home, denied the sky
We fell, so long to ponder the how, the why
We twisted, lost feather, now without flight
We lost glory, Heaven, here lies our plight
How to walk among stars when one can not fly
I gave all that was promised, no less no more
We wanted the eyes of our father to see
It was us, his love, was only meant to be
The path is found, follow, give me your fate
We lost that battle we still have the war
We rise from the fire to burn down the gate
