The False Truth

Floating, I feel my body, weightless to the heaviness in your words.
What can I say if you've decided for me?
Should I even pretend I hear you?
Give me a reason not to completely shut you out.
My love, and time, seem wasted here.
Shake me awake and tell me you
were joking,
gesture me in close, and whisper
the sweet false truth I wish to hear.
