The Father that never was

I just wish you were here.
Honestly I know that you never will be.
That's because you never have been.
I just wish you would step up and be the father I need you to be.
Sometimes I feel like it's too much to ask for.
It tears me apart that your killing yourself.
It doesn't even seem to phase you.
I guess I'm never going to have you in my life.
You the the alcohol more then anyone else.
I have accepted that fact.
I have accepted that your never going to be my father.
I don't need you.
I have other people in place of you.
