The Fear of Fortune

A penny for a thought should be priceless.
A dime a dozen is useless.
The value in your hand is debt you owe.
The strength in your heart is value you show.
It’s the power of paper we need to belong.
It’s the intangible worth we seek to be strong.
To lose is our luck referred to as bad.
To prevail out of spite, forget what you had.
With hope to gain and a wish to feel
The fear of fortune is knowing what’s real.
