The Fire

love is a flame in a dampened room
no matter how hard you try the flame never rekindles
Forever extinguished

Until the day that the room dries
And the mist of youth
Seems to no longer cloud our eyes
And with it, the curiosity will spark into a flame
Once again

A flame with no guided way
A flame that possibly could be smothered once again
Or a flame with embers
that always stays warm
and always has a slight glow
Or quite possibly,
The flame could become a roaring forest fire
One without control
One that keeps spreading g farther and farther
Burning down anything within its path

The flame of love
Not one to be tampered with
for fire is the cause of destruction
with burns that can never be taken away
