The Fisherman
I knew a girl who was a pearl
Born from irritation
She thought the world was dark and deep
Till some one got to know her
He pulled her out of that cold dark place
And made her into jewelry
Around His neck and in full view
Would others get to see her
Oh so pretty they would whisper
Can you believe the luster
It took courage and faith and love
To take all that she could muster
One day soon the cost will count
Of all it took to make her
Bright and shiny He will polish
What she thought was disaster
