The Flag

Together we stand,
That's what they all say,
I stand alone; my shadow doesn't even follow me.
Out of the flag we only share the red.
The white and the blue ran away,
Scared of the fighting and scared of the war.
Our men are coming home not whole,
We are falling into a black hole,
Traveling at the speed of light looking for an end,
Even if it's not happily ever after.
