The Flower of May
As radiant as the one that announced the Christ,
A new star appeared in the sky.
Its rays so penetrating formed a halo,
Crowning this marvelous being that was about to come.
I was dazzled by so much majesty. How many were they?
Those angels kneeled before her, praising her beauty?
One of them approached graciously near my face,
And with his warm hands he parted my eyelids
For a glimpse of the sun shining on the horizon.
From my window I could see the new rose that stands in my garden.
This day of May a dream come to reality.

This Poems Story
I was born in Haiti where I grew up speaking French and Haitian Creole. That's why my poems are mostly in French. When I started writing poetry, I was in my teens. Poetry was the means I used to express thoughts and feelings towards girls. Later on, I opened my poems to other topics. Every thought is a verse for my poems. I write also about my country. Poetry has become more than a passion for me. It's like a spark that turned into fire.
