The Friends of Yesterday’s Phase

The night came at the dawn,
You said I should be gone,
And I don't really care,
I don't miss your face or you hair.

Cause I know friends are meant to stick together,
Making life just a little better,
But just like the morning sun,
The friend's of yesterday's phase are gone.

I don't know what to feel,
As friends go by like a movie reel,
I don't know what I planned,
Without friends to help me make a stand.

Cause I know that friends were meant to stick together,
Making life just a little bit better,
But just like the morning sun,
The friends of yesterday's phase are gone.

As I bring in my smile for everyone to share,
I could bring in a different face, oh such different hair,
And I bring your name to the light,
As one who forgets about the night.

And I know that morning sun will raise again,
Bringing my friends to hold my hand,
And the light will appear through the crack of dawn,
And I know that none of my friends will be gone.

This Poems Story

This poem was inspired from a true life event about someone who had no real meaning to me after a rather pathetic insult.
