The Friendship Blanket

I remember pain without you, all too well.
Cold, hard, and relentlessly stabbing away at my heart.
At times, you made it disappear, or at the least,
shortened it's relentless ability and desire to stay.

You warmed the coldness with your concern and love.
Softened the hardness with your heart and soul.
Your desire and will to listen to my ailing heart has
brought me to my knees with gratitude.

And once again,
I am renewed with the light of your love
