The Gallows

I'm afraid of what awaits
because of what I've done.
Now I go to a place
where many a man has hung,
And as I walk up wooden stairs
I try to take my time,
So I can as forgiveness
of my many crimes.
And as I look into the crowd
all I see is grief,
From family and friends of those
I laid to rest in peace.
But for now my time is up,
And I wear a necklace of rope.
Now at this moment you should know.
The Gallows await.

This Poems Story

This was wrote as I thought of all the wrong in my life and how it hurt all of the people I loved, and cared about, and how someday it will reflect back on my future and make me stronger yet weaken me at the same time.
