The Game

I swear your eyes were a candlelight
flickering towards my own personal oceans
and every piece of matter around us dribbled down to dust
because the things I'd be looking forward to were not nearly
as comparably stimulating as the game you and I had shared that day
and every other class period just like it
the ever so addicting routine of each of our eyes
doing more than just seeing but feeling
all the way across the room
playing the divertissement of who could glimpse
at one another without getting caught
and so far, we were both losing
