Do not mock me for my fears.
Do not presume to know me by my ghosts.
Do not condescend me by calling them silly,
I am aware that they look nothing like your ghosts,
but that does not make me lesser.
You should have felt privileged that I opened my blinds
just so you could see them.
You are one of few that has been allowed to peer in.
But, with your dismissive glance you missed how they
gouged the floors,
shattered the mirrors,
and decimated the walls.
In your quest to prove yourself superior you forgot
that I am one of your ghosts.
