The Girl on the Kite
Mommy, what's that up ther?
With the string on it's neck and limp brown hair
My little boy, she's just flying away
Away from her problems, to a new day
A new story, a new future, a new life to live
For here, in this life, she gave all she could
So she tied that rope tight, right on her throat
Leaving nothing, except a suicide note
I don't blame her at all for wanting to fly
That girl on the kite, up in the sky.
