The Girl with the Lion Heart

The girl with the lion heart dauntlessly gazed upon the silhouette of
Death
Although the world distinguished her from her external appearance,
Her luminous spirit radiated immeasurably,
Capturing the hearts of those fortunate to meet her
For she was a lion, and Fear was a mouse

When she smiled, all the unsightly evils of the world cowered away

She thrived on the beauty from the earth,
And the innate beauty of those she loved
For her eyes expelled excellence and courage for the days to come
For the girl had a lion heart;
And nothing was able to penetrate her

The girl with the lion heart

This Poems Story

For my beloved Mary, my sister and friend who taught me much, even at a young age. In situations where I was at a loss for words, writing became my source of expression. Poetry has molded my imagination and inspired me to capture some of life's outcomes to encourage others (as well as myself) to perservere the challenges and beauties that life tends to offer. I am continuously grateful to have such a wonderful family that supports me in all that I do. Maranatha.
