The goodbye not said

Granted with thoughts on this day
Someone we loved, has been taken away
Sitting here watching as hearts break
Tears rolling down my face, this moment hard to take.
My thoughts return to the loss of my mother
I should have done more, she was like no other!
These thoughts rushing in like waves on the shore
Our minds going places that it’s never been before.
All these people but still feeling alone
The “what if”, mistakes made, words said in anger, must I atone?
Feelings of grief, guilt, anger, keep scratching away
It will take time, patience, and love, to hold this grief at bay.
We miss you LOTS, constantly thinking of you.
Loved ones will blossom, and at times, wonder what to do.
We will love, forgive, and support each other
For Shanele Curtis loved her girls, her family, like no other!
Her kindness, humor, strength, and love
Will always be with you, watching from above.
