The Great Escape That Never Ends

We escape our lies
For the truths that we seek
Slog through the world's constructs
For something to keep
We escape the eyes of demons
That cover up thick glass
Tear up tracks tacked in tight
So to the skies we must amass
We escape over-chewing sentences
To find that catalyst
And those iron-clad walls of cheshire grins
Whose sentences seem amidst

We run from ourselves
But we are much faster
And when we catch up
It gets weird
