The Green Glass Bottle

A green glass bottle
now shattered into a million fractured pieces
what do you do,
try to piece it back together
or pick it up and comfort yourself
saying I still have it all?
The green fragments lie scattered
soaking in your misfortune.
The winds takes to it,
smashing and kidnapping
your already broken bottle.
You ask
what do you do from here?
Breaking like the bottle
your tears flood the
splintered fragments
dispersed far and wide,
as if the bomb that is your life
that's been slowly ticking finally
collapsed in on itself
taking you with it.
Yet you pick these pieces up
and hold them in your fingers
despite being fractured
as you move on being
broken.
