The Heart

The heart, entombed in a cell,
The cell, the body's ribs,
Like holding children in their cribs,
Bottling up feelings so rarely said,
Forever locked in a cage,
Feeling like the fallen angel Lucifer,
Forever filled with despair and rage,
Thinking they'd be better off dead,
Remembering a saying a loved on had once said,
I will be the key to your cell,
I will set your heart free,
I will love you for forever!
