The Heart Got It’s Way

By

Home is where the heart is they say.
And three months into year;
The heart got its way.

Schools closed fast,
As all the students cheered;
Teacher’s prayed it wouldn’t last,
As parents began to fear.

Medical staff began to prepare,
For a surge they’ve never seen;
People began to become aware,
Of symptoms that weren’t keen.

The heart began to ache,
For those we began to lose;
The tears began to break,
For those the virus began to choose.

Home is where the heart is they say.
Nine months into year;
The heart still got it’s way.
