The Heart of Love

Eyes of light, heart like a torch
time of passing day of forge-smelt iron
Together with love, sparks fly-like gentle wings of a dove
they're caught eye to eye
Suddenly, a dark cloud went over and took all the love they had away
The earth stood still
the sky took sway
for the thing that it took away
on this love/hate day
Fear of love
on weakness it reaps
No feeling of joy
the young star weeps
A crashing of thunder
can sweep love away
A deep understanding
can bring love to stay
This young man still remembers how he felt about her
he remembers how she kissed
how she said, I love you
He just stood there in shock
the lightning came down and took her love away
