“The Hidden Family”

The woman who carried you for nine months

Is the same woman who will try to leave you every chance she gets

The woman who carried you is the same woman who caused you to feel less

To the outside eyes everything is fine but to the eyes hiding inside walls of the broken home they see the pain

They see the man and woman you’re supposed to run to but they see you running away from them

They see the woman who hates you because of the man who helped bare you

They see the man who taught you how to drink your problems away

They see the woman who made your wound cut deeper every chance she got

They see the man who taught you to never trust a soul

They see the girl who destroys her mind and body

They see her little sister hiding her sexuality

They see her older brother trying every day to not be like his father

But when the door opens they are all okay.
