The Immortal Conflict

The immortal conflict --
Spread through crevices that range
Like thread through every worldly memory
An urge and push for change

Try and try while time laughs
Feed the injusted while at war
By ignorance, silence, creating pain
Human truth reigns no more

What is it to be seen?
As you were made to be
Not race, not gender, not origin
But as a heart that beats

The drum continues to rumble
The world pursues its turn
Yet here they are and here we are
There’s so much left to learn --
