The Journey

I've been to the desert with a shaman priest
And took a spiritual journey into the native American's beliefs
He gave me some tea made from some cactus and bark from a
tree to helped me see
What animal's spirit lives inside of me
As I sit legs crossed with my hands upon my knees
I felt my spirit leave my body
As my spirit floats high above me
It slowly changes into the eagle that shares this life with me
As it flies high above the ground
Through its eyes I can see everything that's all around me
As it flies past my motionless body setting on the ground
It slowly turns and lands beside me
I can hear the priest's voice saying to me its time
To let the eagle's spirit free
For one day you will join your brother once more and
fly high in the sky for all to see
