The Land of Fallen Trees
What was, will always be
In the land of fallen trees;
These brittle bones
may never roam
In the land of fallen trees.
Memories of once forgotten lands
See light again,
In remembrance of fallen trees;
The beautiful fire that ignites the pyre
Will lift the soul
Like glowing flakes of glint and gold,
Spread across the land of fallen trees.
Visions of burning embers
May cause an inner storm of fury
That sting the heart and sadden the soul,
But take solace in
The knowledge of
Life's cycles and it's bliss;
We all have a beginning and an end
In this land of fallen trees.
